Bettiah : Police on October 26, 2018, morning, recovered body of a man identified as Amarjit Nishad, 35, village Malahi under Nautan police station in West Champaran district in North Bihar. The body was recovered from a canal near the village.

Amarjit’s family members said that he was missing from his house since October 25, 2018, and they were searching for him. Meanwhile, they were informed about a body lying in the canal near the village. The family members rushed there and identified the body as that of Amarjit Nishad. Nautan police brought the body over to MJK Hospital, Bettiah, for autopsy. A case was lodged with Nautan police station in this connection and police are probing into the incident.
