Buxar : Police recovered body of a man from near Balua Bridge under Brahmpur police station in Buxar district on April 19, 2020, and brought it over to Buxar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The deceased was identified as Pannalal Mahto, 42, son of Shekha Mahto of Pachchim Tola under Brahmpur police station.
An FIR has been lodged by Brahmpur police station in this connection and police are investigating into the incident. SHO, Brahmpur police station, Baijnath Chaudhary, said that after returning home from his field, Pannalal Mahto complained he was not feeling well and so searched for some medicine but he inadvertently took a pesticide and came out of his house. Sources said that Pannalal Mahto, fed up with family dispute, might have consumed poison and committed suicide. The SHO stated that police were investigating whether it was case of suicide or murder.
