Ara : Government Rail Police (GRP), Ara, recovered bodies to two persons including that of a woman from the railway track at Kulharia railway station under Danapur Division of East Central Railway, Hajipur, on May 29, 2019, afternoon and brought them over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

The deceased were identified from their Aadhar Cards as college student Ashutosh, son of Dharmendra Upadhayaya of Zamania in Gajipur in Uttar Pradesh and a class X student Nainsi, daughter of Binod Kumar of Zamaia. Both had escaped from their houses on May 28, 2019.

SHO, GRP, Ara, Rajnath Rai, said that passengers located both the bodies lying on the railway track at Kulharia railway station and informed the railway authorities. On getting information from the railways, the GRP rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies. He said that love affairs appears to be the cause behind the incident.

On the other hand, the family members of both the deceased said that they had no knowledge of their love affairs. They also said that they did not know as to how they reached Kulharia from Zamania and demanded a probe into the matter.
