Ara : One Shivnath Ram committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling of his house at New Police Line under Nawada police station, Ara, in Bhojpur district, on May 31, 2019. Family dispute is said to be the cause behind the incident.
SHO, Nawada police station, said that marriage of Madhu Kumari, daughter of Kamtra Prasad Ram, was solemnised on May 30, 2019, at Ambedkar Nagar Colony, New Police Line under Nawada police station, and the family members were taking rest after seeing off Madhu Kumari. Meanwhile, Shivnath Ram committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling of the room after the ‘bidai’ of his sister. Family members rushed him to Ara Sadar Hospital where the doctor declared him broughtdead. Family members took away the body without post-mortem. Sources said Shivnath Ram had a tiff with his wife Geeta Devi during marriage ceremony.
