Ara : A case of collecting Rs 19 lakh from 19 persons in the name of making of Visa and tickets for Malaysia for them has come to light after one of the victim lodged complaint with police on March 4, 2017. DSP (HQ) J P Karn has directed the Town police station SHO to take action after inquiring into the matter.
Saiyad Ali of village Khalisa under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur district said he had earlier gone to Malaysia few years ago to earn and returned his native village. He once again wants to go there to earn and contacted an office at Mahadeva Road under Town police station that claimed to arrange visa and tickets for the persons wishing to go abroad. He said at 19 persons went to the said office and the owner realized Rs one lakh from each of them promising to manage visa and tickets for Malaysia for them about six months ago but neither the visa and tickets were managed nor their money was returned till date.
About five year back too, two cases of duping some people of huge amount in the name of making visa and tickets for foreign countries had come to surface under Town police station and Nawada police station, Ara. Police had sealed the offices concerned and seized scanner and computer and some fake visas and tickets and sent the owners of the these offices to jail.
