Police arrest notorious criminal Mithilesh Paswan from Bhojpur village

Ara : Police on March 25, 2019, arrested notorious criminal Mithilesh Paswan from village Dhandiha under Koelwar police station in Bhojpur district when he was loitering at the village carrying firearms. Police also seized firearms from his possession.

Mithilesh Paswan is a resident of village Kuberchak under Koelwar police station and is a close associate of ‘Bomb Man’ Lamboo Sharma, main accused in Ara Civil Court bomb case as well as Ara Mall blast in  Shivganj area. A named FIR has been lodged with Koelwar police station against him under Arms Act and he was sent him to jail after interrogation.

SHO, Koelwar police station, said that Mithlesh Paswan had thrown bomb at three Malls at Ara on April 29, 2018, to force trader to give ‘rangdari’ ( extortion amount) to him. At least half a dozen persons were injured in these blasts. Police had arrested four persons including Mithlesh Paswan in this connection and also seized two live bombs, two pistols and live cartridges from their possession.

The SHO further said that during interrogation they had confessed that they had demanded rangadari from the owners of Malls at the behest of an inmate of Ara jail Lamboo Sharma and when they did not yield to their demands, they threw bomb into their establishments to create terror.
