Patna : Two active members of banned terrorist outfits Jamiyat-ul-Mujahideen, Bangladesh, and Islamic State Bangladesh
(ISBD), were arrested from motorcycle stand close to Madni Musafirkhana on Patna Junction premises on March 24, 2019. They were arrested by a joint team of ATS, Bihar, and senior police officers, on a tip off that two Bangladeshi youth are loitering in suspicious manner on Patna Junction premises.
The arrested terrorists have been identified as Khairul Mandal and Abu Sultan, both hailing from village Chapatalla under Maheshpur police station in Jenauda, Pargana-Khulna, Bangladesh. According to state police headquarters, both the arrested persons had sneaked into Indian territory illegally without passport, visa or any other paper. Both had got their fake
voter identity cards prepared and were using them as real.
Sources said that both these youths, on the directive of Jamiyat-ul-Mujahideen, had visited Kolkata, Kerala, Delhi, and
Patna, and Gaya districts in Bihar and were trying to attract Muslim youth to their organizations. They were also carrying out recce of different Buddhist religious spots. Both the arrested persons were willing to visit Syria to join ISIS for carrying out jehad.
According to state police headquarters, police and ATS team seized photocopy of orders of deployment of para-military forces in Jammu & Kashmir after Pulwama incident, photo copies of pamphlets and posters of ISIS and other terrorists’ organisations, three cellphones, one memory card, one fake pan-card, one rail ticket of New Delhi to Howrah and Gaya to Patna, and one bus ticket of Maharani Express from Kolkata to Gaya from their possession. Sources said that Bangladesh Police had arrested their associates Nurul Hoda Masum, Rinkoo Mandal, and Saibur for their involvement in terrorists activities.
