Police arrest 7 bike lifters in Bhojpur, 8 stolen bikes recovered

Ara : Police, on a tip off, conducted raids at village Bhagwatipur under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur district in the late evening on October 28, 2017, and arrested seven liquor smugglers cum bike lifters and also seized eight stolen motorcycles.

The arrested criminals were identified as Diwali Singh, son of Sita Sharan Singh, Ritesh Kumar, son of Sukhal Singh, Ramesh Kumar, son of Shiv Ji Singh, Lal Mohar, son of Bhubaneshwar Singh, Ram Sewak Singh, son of Yugesh Singh, Sukhal Singh, son of Shivdeni Singh, and Anil Kumar Singh, son of Ram Dayal Singh, all residents of village Bhagwatipur village under Udwantnagar police station.
Bhojpur SP Awakash Kumar while talking to mediapersons on October 29 said that he got information that bike lifters had links with village Bhagwatipur village. He immediately formed a police team under the SDPO Sanjay Kumar that conducted raids at Bhagwaitpur in the late evening on October 28 and arrested seven bike lifters cum liquor smugglers and also seized eight stolen motorcycles. The SP said that the arrested criminals revealed that they used school students for carrying liquor in their school bags and they themselves carried these children on the stolen motorcycles.
