Ara : An FIR has been lodged with Bihia police station against four named and 30 unnamaed accused on the statement of a cattle trader Sharda Yadav, son of Lorik Yadav of village Charghat under Shahpur police station in Bhojpur district, for allegedly demanding ‘Rangdari’ (extortion amount), assaulting and snatching of cash from him.

The four named accused are : Mukesh Pandey of Jawania, Laloo Pandey alias Ashutosh and Pandit Tiwari of village Belauti, and Ajit Mishra of Dharahara, all activists of the Bajrang Dal. An FIR was also lodged against the cattle trader Sharda Yadav charging with ill treating the cattle and overloading cattle on a truck.

Police arrested Raj Kumar Gond, truck  driver, of village Gangauli  under Simari police station in Buxar district, Prahalad Sharma, Pick Up van driver, of village Lavkushpur under Chhapra Muffassil police station in Saran district, and Sri Bhagwan Yadav of village Sapahi under Brahmpur police station in Buxar district on October 29, 2017.

The activists of the Bajrang Dal had intercepted a truck and Pick-Up van near Bihia Chaurasta on NH 84 on October 27, 2017, evening. At least 22 cows and 17 calves were loaded on the truck while 4 cattle were loaded on the Pick-up van. The drivers and others who were on the truck and Pick-up van said that they were cattle traders and were taking cattle to Damdam in West Bengal from Charghat under Shahpur police station in  Bhojpur district but some persons intercepted the vehicles and assaulted them and snatched money from them. Police seized the truck and the Pick-up van and investigating the issue.
