Police arrest 5 gamblers from Bhojpur village

Ara : Bhojpur police, on a tip off, conducted raids at village Badka Dumara under Ara Muffasil police station on March 13, 2020, and arrested five gamblers and seized ten bundle of guessing coupons, two boards, calculator, two motorcycles, and Rs 3,000 cash though one gambler Rupesh Singh escaped from the spot.

An FIR has been lodged with Ara Muffasil police station against them and police sent the arrested gamblers to jail after interrogation. The gamblers were identified as Jaideo Upadhayay, Manoj Yadav, Sushil Kumar, Ganesh Pathak of Badaka Dumara, under Ara Muffassil police station, and Md Imamuddin of Abarpul under Ara Town police station.

SHO, Ara Muffasil police station, Jyoti Kumari said that on the direction of Bhojpur SP Sushil Kumar, a drive had been launched in Bhojpur district against gambling. The SHO said that she got information that a Guessing Centre was being run at Badaka Dumara village under the  police station. She immediately swung into action and with a police force conducted raids at Badaka Dumara village and arrested five gamblers from behind a poultry farm at the village.
