Police arrest 4 criminals in Rohtas, seize Safari & 15 cartons of IMFL

Sasaram : Rohtas police have arrested four criminals including the mastermind of the gang Sippu Patel of village Bhaluni under Kargahar police station from different places at Sasaram in connection with murderous attack on a trader dealing in Bakery in  Badhayiabagh locality of the town.

The other three miscreants were identified as Sushil Yadav, Om Prakash alias Saheb Yadav of Trilokpur village under Kargahar police station in Rohtas district, and Nagendra alias Bhawar Chandrawanshi of Nawanagar under the same police station in Buxar district. Police also seized 15 cartons Indian Made Foreign Liquor, a countrymade pistol, three live cartridges, two mobile phones, one Safari and a motorcycle, from their possession.

ASP Rajesh Kumar said that police were searching for the miscreants involved in the murderous attack on a trader and also firing at village Dhodsan in March 2019. Meanwhile, police got information that Sippu Patel had taken shelter in Gorakshini locality and was awaiting for members of his gang members. Police immediately conducted raids and arrested Sippu Patel who could not escape as he had broken his leg after Dhodsan firing.

The ASP said that the other gang members somehow got information about the raid and did not come there. When police, on return, went towards Lalganj area, they saw some miscreants trying to escape towards Post Office in a Safari. Police chased and caught all the three miscreants along with the vehicle and seized IMFL and firearm.

The ASP said that the gang operated in and around Sasaram, Kochas, and Kargahar areas and the arrested criminals confessed their involvement in murderous attack on a businessman, firing at Dhodsan village, and loot at V Mart recently. They had bought the Safari from the looted money. The arrested miscreants also revealed names of their other accomplices and police are conducting raids to arrest them. The ASP said that Sippu Patel was arrested and sent to jail in connection with loot at V Mart and was on bail.
