Ara : With the recovery of arms and ammunition used in the murder of a cloth merchant and a jeweller and firing on a coaching centre owner at village Nathmalpur under Barhara police station in Bhojpur District on December 29, 2019, and arrest of three persons including a teenage boy in this regard, police claim to have cracked the double murder mystery. Later, police sent them to jail after interrogation.
Police recovered a pistol, a countrymade pistol, four .315 caliber and one 7.65 caliber live cartridges. The arrested miscreants were identified as Vishnu Singh, son of late Ramesh Singh of Bakhorapur under Barhara police station, Dharmendra Prasad, son of Om Prakash, and a teenage boy of Pakari locality under Nawada police station, Ara. The main accused in the case Nityanand Singh was earlier arrested from Bahadurgarh between Delhi-Haryana on January 20, 2020, and was sent to jail.
Bhojpur SP Sushil Kumar on January 24, 2020, said that some armed miscreants had killed a jeweller Sriman Narayan Gupta at Nathmalpur village under Barhara police station on December 29, 2019, and Nityanand Singh and others were made named accused in the FIR lodged with police in this connection. Bhojpur police arrested Nityanand Singh him from Bahadurgarh between Delhi and Haryana.
During interrogation, Nityanand Singh confessed that he had kept the arms used in the murder at the house of his brother-in-law (Saalaa), a teenage boy Vishnu Kumar Singh, who lives at a rented house in Pakari locality under Nawada police station. The boy is originally a resident of village Sahjauli under Shahpur police station. Later, police arrested him from his rented house at Pakari and also recovered a countrymade pistol, four .315 calibre and one 7.65 calibre live cartridges.
On his revelation, police also arrested a make shift shop owner Dharmendra Prasad from near Judge Kothi Mor under Nawada police station, Ara, and seized a pistol used in the murder of the businessman. The SP said that police are conducting raids to arrest brother of Nityanand Singh.
