Bhojpur police arrest Shahpur double murder case accused Chintu Sonar

Ara : Bhojpur police arrested Chintu Sonar, brother of an absconder Mantu Sonar alias Bashishth Prasad, on January 24, 2020, in a double murder case. Later, police sent him to jail after interrogation.

SHO, Shahpur police station, said that some armed miscreants had shot dead a sweetmeat shop owner Jyoti Gupta and his staff in December 2019 and escaped. An FIR was lodged with Shahpur police station against Chintu Sonar and Mantu Sonar. After institution of FIR, police conducted raids at different places and arrested Chintu Sonar from Shahpur under the same police station though his brother Mantu Sonar is still absconding. Police are conducting raids to arrest him.
