Police arrest 2 persons for killing school teacher in Bhojpur in 2017

Ara : With the arrest of two miscreants from Pauna under Pauna police station on September 12, 2018, evening, Bhojpur police claim to have cracked the mystery behind the murder of a differently abled private school teacher after a year.

The arrested miscreants were identified as Dhan Ji Singh, son of Dharmendra Singh, and Kishan Kumar, son of Ramesh Singh, of Paharpur village under Garhani police station. An FIR was lodged with Garhani police station in connection with the murder. Later, police sent them to jail after interrogation.pauna ps

Bhojpur SP Awakash Kumar on September 13, 2018, said that a physically handicapped private school teacher Binod Kumar Singh, son of Kapil Singh of village Bhagwanpur, was killed on September 15, 2017, by the assailants, who slit his throat when he was sleeping in his room.

The SP said that Dhan Ji Singh confessed before  police during interrogation that he along with Kishan Kumar and Sandeep Singh, son of Gumani Singh of Paharpur village, had entered the room of Binod Kumar Singh with a view to looting cash. They strangulated him and later slit his throat and decamped with Rs 50,000 and a mobile. On the revelation of Dhan Ji Singh, police arrested Ramesh Singh while Sandeep Singh had died due to snake bite during Durga Puja last year.
