Ara : Police, on a tip off, arrested two liquor smugglers : Ravindra Yadav of Gaura village under Bahoranpur police outpost and Satyendra Prasad Chandravanshi of Salempur Ke Dera village under Ara Muffassil police station in Bhojpur district, behind the Punjab National Bank at Salempur village under Dhobaha police outpost on August 17, 2018, and also seized 12 cartons of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from their possession. Later, police sent them to jail after lodging a named FIR under the Prihibition & Excise Act.
SHO, Dhobaha police outpost, said that these liquor smugglers were bringing IMFL from outside Bihar at cheapest rate and selling the same in different parts of Bhojpur district at high rate for the last two years. He said that police succeeded in arresting two liquor smugglers while two others Fagu Thakur and Biru Prasad escaped.
