Patna : World No 26 Guido Pella, 29, Argentina, stunned 4th seed and 2018 finalist, Kevin Anderson, 33, South Africa, in straight sets to enter the fourth round of Wimbledon Championships, London, UK, on July 5, 2019. Pella beat World No 8 Anderson 6-4, 6-3, 7-6 in the 3rd round at the All England Club in a major upset in the tournament.

Anderson, who had also reached final of US Open in 2017, was seeded 4th at Wimbledon despite his ATP rankings due to his good performance on grass courts.

Pella won 3 break points to just 1 by Anderson. He also won 5 games in a row in the match to 3 by Anderson in the match. Pella won 81 service points to 63 by the South African. Anderson though fired 14 Aces in the match to 4 by Pella.

Pella has entered the 4th round of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time. He will face World No 17 Milos Raonic, Canada, in the 4th round.
