Patna: Patna Zoo has received one male and a female Grey Peacock Pheasant from Darjeeling Zoo in exchange of one female Jungle Cat. The Grey Peacock pheasant is also known as Burmese Peacock as it is the national bird of Burma. The male is greyish grown with short tufted crest and long tail.  The female is similar but it is smaller with shorter tail and shorter crest. It is Schedule-I bird under Wildlife (Protection) Act 1972.
