Munger: The proposed electrification of railway network across river Ganga between Munger and Begusarai by the railways has made the residents of Munger, Khagaria and Begusarai districts very happy. The proposal for electrification of Munger- Begusarai line acros the Ganga bridge will be sent to the Railway Board soon after the Dighaghat and Sonepur line is fully electrified in Patna, railway sources said.
The doubling of Kiul-Gaya single track has also been mooted by the Railway Board and at the electrification of Gaya Kiul line will also start simultaneously, said souces in East Central Railways adding it is being considered most important for increasing the speed of the trains to remove traffic congestion delaying even superfast and important mail trains like TinsukiaMail,Vikramshila Express, Farakka -New Delhi Express besides Garib Rath passing through Kiul-Sahebganj Loop Lines of the ECR.
