Patna High Court dismisses PIL on Srijan scam

Patna : The Patna High Court on September 13, 2017, dismissed a PIL seeking CBI probe into multi-crore Srijan Fund scam. The PIL was filed by Diwakar Yadav before the CBI took over the investigation into the scam following recommendation from Bihar government. The scam involves transfer of government fund into the account of Bhagalpur based NGO Srijan Mahila Vikas Sahyog Samiti in a fraudulent transfer.

A division bench of Patna High Court comprising Chief Justice Rajendra Menon and Justice  A K Upadhayay dismissed the PIL after Advocate General Lalit Kishore informed it that the state government had already handed over the probe to the CBI and it was in progress.
