Patna : Pakistan thumped India by 10 wickets in a Group 2 match of ICC T20 World Cup at Dubai Internation Cricket Stadium, Dubai, UAE, on October 24, 2021, late night, as their openers Mohd Rizwan (wk) and captain Babar Azam added 152 runs in their unbroken partnership for the first wicket.
Rizwan scored an unbeaten 79 in 55 balls hitting 6 fours and 3 sixes while Babr Azam remained 68 not out in 52 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes to inflict a humiliating defeat on India.Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Afridi was named Player Of The Match for taking 3/31 in 4 overs. Pakistan had won the toss and opted to bowl.
Chasing a target of 152 runs, Pakistan scored 152/0 in only 17.5 overs in a clinical display of batting treating the India bowlers with disdain.
