Patna : Pakistan routed Bangladesh by an innings and 44 runs in the first test at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi, Pakistan, on Day 4 on February 10, 2020, with fast bowler Naseem Shah and spinner Yasir Shah taking four wickets each while fast bowler Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Abbas took one wicket each. Nasseem Shah, who too a hat-trick in the match, was declared Player of the Match.

Bangladesh, who had scored 233 runs in their first innings, were all out for just 168 runs in their second innings. Pakistan were all out for 445 in their first innings with opener Shan Masood and Babar Azam scoring centuries. Pakistan had won the toss but opted to bowl.

Resuming at their overnight score of 126/6, Bangladesh lost their 7th wicket that of Mimonul Haque (captain) at 130. Mominul Haque fell to Shaheen Afridi for 41 in 93 balls hitting 5 fours making it 130/7. Rubel Hossain fell to Mohammad Abbas for 5 and it was 156/8. Liton Das (wk) fell to spinner Yasir Shah for 29 in 41 balls with 4 fours and a six and it was 165/9. Abu Jayed also fell to Yasir Shah for 3.
