Police arrest three vehicle lifters in Bhojpur, recover looted car & pistol

Ara : Police arrested three members of an inter-state gang of vehicle lifters from Bagar Mor under Gadhani police station in Bhojpur district on February 8, 2020, evening, but the mastermind of the gang escaped. Police also seized a looted car and recovered one countrymade pistol, a 8mm caliber live cartridge, and three mobiles from their possession.

The arrested vehicle lifters were identified as Mukesh Kumar of Daudnagar in Aurangabad district, Ezaz Alam and Zannat of Kargahar in Rohtas district. The master mind of the gang was identified as Shahzad Hussain alias Mister Mian of Rohtas district.

Bhojpur SP Sushil Kumar on February 10, 2020, said that some armed miscreants had looted a car near Gadhani under Charpokhari police station on February 4, 2020. Taking it seriously, he formed a police team under SDPO, Piro, Ashok Kumar Azad. On February 8, 2020, evening, the miscreants had come to Gadhani under Charpokhari police station on a looted car with a view to looting another car. Meanwhile, police got information and arrested three of the four miscreants along with looted car.

During interrogation, the miscreants confessed that they had looted a car from a businessman of Aurangabad, the SP said. He further said that the police are conducting raids at different places to arrest the mastermind of the gang.
