Patna : Pakistan were all out for 177 in 51.1 over just before tea in their first innings of the second test against South Africa (SA) at Newlands, Cape Town, on day 1 on January 3, 2019, with captain and wicketkeeper SarfrazAhmed scoring 56 and Shan Masood scoring 44. South Africa lead the 3-match series 1-0.

Opener Imam-ul-Haq and Fakhar Zaman were out for 8 & 1 run respectively. Azhar Ali and Babar Azam scored 2 each. Fast bowler Mohammad Amir remained unbeaten on 22. South Africa had won the toss but opted to bowl.

For South Africa, Duanne Olivier took 4/ 48 in 15 overs while Dale Styen took 3/48 in 15.1 over. Kagiso Rabada took 2/35 while Vernon Philander took 1/36.

In reply, South Africa were 6/0 after 2 overs.
