Patna : Pakistan were 555/3 in their second innings in 2nd test against Sri Lanka (SL) at lunch on Day 4 at National Stadium, Karachi, Pakistan, with Babar Azam unbeaten on 100 in 131 balls hitting 7 fours and a six, his 4th test century, and Mohammad Rizwan (wk) batting on 21. Pakistan, who were all out for 191 in first innings, lead by 475 runs. SL had scored 271 in gtheir first innings.
Four Pakistanu batsmen : openers Shan Masood (135) and Abid Ali (174), Captain Azhar Ali (118), and Babar Azal ( 100 not out) have scored centuries in this test match. Shan Masood and Abid Ali had added 278 runs for the first wicket.
Resuming at their overnight score of 395/2, Pakistan lost the wicket of Captain Azhar Ali at 503. Azhar fell to spinner Lasith Embuldeniya for 118 in 157 balls with 13 fours, his 16th test century, and it was 503/3. It was Azhar’s first century as captain. Azhar and Babar Azam added 148 runs for the third wicket.
