One person killed, 15 shops gutted in devastaing fire on Bettiah Estate premises

Bettiah : One person was roasted alive while 15 shops located on Bettiah Estate premises in West Champaran district were gutted in a devastating fire on March 22, 2019, late night.

Ramesh Thakur, 19, a barber, who was sleeping at a shop, was roasted alive and assets belonging to one Dipak Rajagharia and Rabi Steel were destroyed in the fire. The fire was extinguished by four fire tenders in 8 hours. The reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained.
