Police seize 12 kg Charas in W Champaran, 2 held

Bettiah : A police team headed by Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Bettiah, Pankaj  Kumar Rawat, on a tip off, carried out raid at Patharighat under Bettiah Sub-Division in West Champaran district on March 29, 2019, night, and seized 12 kg of contraband Charas from the possession of two smugglers : Mohammed Sarfaraz and Anil Jaiswal.

Both Sarfaraz and Anil Jaiswal were arrested by police. The value of the seized Charas is said to be about Rs 2.5 crore in international market. West Champaran SP Jayant Kant on March 30, 2019, said that the arrested smugglers were being interrogated.
