Patna: Rahul Raj, one of the toppers in Intermediate Science examinations conducted by Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) this year, was arrested from Chandpur village in Vaishali district early Wednesday morning. An arrest warrant was issued against him by a local court following registration of an FIR in connection with the results scam.
Rahul, a resident of Sahebganj in Muzaffarpur district, was staying with one of his relatives at Chandpur village where special investigation team of Patna police conducted raid and arrested him.
Saurbh Shresth, a science topper, is already lodged in Beur central jail and Ruby Rai, arts topper who was arrested in June, was released on bail on Monday. The then chairman, BSEB, two secretaries of the BSEB and three principals of different colleges, director of the college where the toppers were enrolled are already in jail.
