Ara: Bhojpur police arrested another named accused Bijay Tiwari from village Labna Patkholia under Sikarhatta police station on Thursday evening a in connection with a twin murder at village Belaur under Udwantnagar police station case and forwarded him to jail. Police had arrested Hareram Chaudhary on Wednesday in the same case. With this, two named accused have been arrested in the twin murder case so far.
Bhojpur SP Kshatranil Singh said that he got information that Bijay Tiwari was hiding at his village Labna Patkholia. He immediately formed a police team which conducted raid at the village and arrested Bijay Tiwari. The SP said that Umesh Rai and his son Manish Rai were shot dead on the outskits of Belaur village on July 19 evening when they were watching their field. A named FIR was lodged with Udwantnagar police station against six persons in this connection. The SP said raids were on to nab the remaining accused in the murder case.
The SP said that the police had seized a regular rifle and 36 rounds of live cartridges from Hareram Chaudhary on Wednesday. He said the seized cartridges would be sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory to ascertain whether the blank cartridges found at the place of occurrence were the same as the recovered live cartridges.
