Ara: Hundreds of activists of the CPI (ML) took out a precession from their office at eastern railway crossing on Friday that passed through the main thoroughfares of Ara town and terminated at near the office of the Bhojpur SP. The activists staged gherao of the SP and demanded stern action against the persons responsible for atrocities on the mahadalit communities. Md. Quamuddin, Bhojpur District Committee member of the CPI (ML) alleged that the BJP supporters were thrashing members of mahadalit community but the police never take any action against them. He alleged that the BJP supporters assaulted members of mahadalit community at Lachhanpur in Bhojpur district on April 29 and again on June 3 this year but the police did not take action against anyone even as FIRs were lodged against the accused.
