Muzaffarpur : NIA sleuths, with the help of West Champaran police, arrested a suspected Pakistani terrorist Abi Hussain, allegedly an ISI agent, on May 4, 2017. He was arrested near Sikta in West Champaran district after entering Bihar from Nepal.
Abi Hussain is a resident of Simorangarh in Nepal. UP government and Delhi police had a reward of Rs 50,000 each on his head. West Champaran SP Vinay Kumar extended every possible help to the NIA team in arresting Abi Hussain. Although police officials have remained tightlipped over the arrest of a terrorist, sources said that NIA oifficials and West Champaran SP are interrogating Abi at an undisclosed place.
It may be recalled here that ATS teams of UP and Delhi police had arrested a suspected terrorist Ehtesham, a native of village Belwa under Shathi police station in West Champaran district on April 20, 2017. A Laptop seized from the possession of Ehtesham indicated his alleged ISI links. With the arrest of Abi Hussain, two suspected terrorists have been arrested from West Champaran district in North Bihar within a fortnight.
