Ara : Hundreds of residents of Ara blocked Ara-Sasaram, Ara-Mohania main roads on May 4, 2017, with body of one Yogendra Nut of Anaith locality, Ara, and raised slogans against Bhojpur district administration. They burnt tyres on roads and paralysed movement of vehicles for three hours on Thursday. They were demanding arrest of those responsible for Yogendra’s death in a mishap at a Saw Mill. The blockade was lifted after positive assurance from police officials.

Yogendra Nat of mahadalit community and residents of Anaith locality under Nawada police station,Ara,  died on May 3 when a log of wood fell on him at a Saw Mill in Nawada locality under the same police station when he was working there. After his death, the owner of the Saw Mill, Satyendra Singh, and an employee Lal Babu Sharma, allegedly threw his body on the roadside. When his family members came to know about it, they informed police, who immediately rushed to the spot and brought the body to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem the same day.
