NHRC Opens Twitter Account

New Delhi : Acknowledging the prevalence of social media in the world,, NHRC India on February 25, 2020, opened its Twitter account (handle @IndiaNhrc) designed by the Secretary General, NHRC, Jaideep Govind. who also inaugurated it. 

After inauguration, NHRC Secretary General Jaideep Govind said that it is a good initiative of the Commission to uphold the human rights situation of India before the world. The occasion marks a step toward increasing awareness amongst citizens about human rights and the role and functions of NHRC, he said, according to an NHRC release. Many human rights defenders have appreciated the move.
