Gopalganj: Mystery shrouds death of an electrician of a private cellphone company Sunny Kumar Shukla (22) at his work place late on Monday night. The deceased’s family members alleged that Sunny had been murdered. The Gopalpur police sent the body for autopsy and are inquiring about the reason behind his death.

Police said that Sunny, son of Uma Shankar Shukla of village Narha Shukla under Gopalpur police station in Gopalganj district, was working as an electrician at Kuchaikot based office of a private cellphone company. Sunny’s family members were informed by a co-worker on Monday night that his condition was serious, said sources.

Police said that Sunny’s family members reached Kuchaikot and were informed that Sunny was taken to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital for treatment. As his family members were on way to Gopalganj from Kuchaikot, they were informed that Sunny was being taken to Gorakhpur and the family members were asked to reach Konhwa Mor. Police said that as the family members reached Konhwa Mor, they found Sunny’s body kept in an ambulance while those who had brought him to Sadar Hospital fled seeing them. The family members brought the body to Gopalpur on Tuesday and informed the local police about it. On getting information, Gopalpur ps SHO Ajay Kumar reached the spot and sent the body for autopsy.
