Patna : Mumbai entered the final of limited overs Vijay Hazare Trophy defeating Hyderbad in the semi-finals by 60 runs under VJD ( V Jayadevan) method due to rain. Opting to bat after winning the toss Hyderabad scored 246/8 runs in 50 overs riding on an unbeaten 121 with 8 fours and 4 sixes by Rohit Rayudu, 24, cousin of captain Ambati Rayudu, M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Chasing a target of 247, Mumbai were cruising along and were 155/2 after 25 over when the play stopped due to rain. Opener Prithvi Shaw scored 61 in 44 ball with 8 fours and 2 sixes while captain Shreyas Iyer was batting on 55 in 53 ball with 5 fours and 2 sixes when rain interrupted the match. Rohit Sharma made 17 with 2 fours while Ajinkya Rahane was batting on 17. Shaw added 73 runs with Sharma for the first wicket. Mumbai bowler Tushar Deshpande was declared Player of the Match for taking 3 wickets..

Jharkhand will play Delhi in the second semi-final on October 18, 2018.
