Sheohar: With a view to maintaining law and order during Durga Puja and Muharram, the Sheohar district administration has vested the power of special police officer (SPO) in all the Mukhiyas and Sarpanchs. Sheohar SP Prakash Nath Mishra said that all the Mukhias and Sarpanchs would constitute five member committees under their jurisdiction to maintain law and order. They would also hold meetings of the peace committee. The power of SPO would remain vested in them till October 15, 2016.
