Muzaffarpur: An FIR was lodged against former minister Ajit Kumar and his four supporters with Kanti police station in Muzaffarpur district by Up-Pramukh, Kanti, Bipin Kumar Jha, on October 7, 2016, night alleging the former had threatened him with dire consequence.
Kumar and Jha had sharp differences over alleged irregularities in Kasturba Gandhi Girls Residential School, Madhuban, under Kanti police station and the two clashed during the inspection of the school by Jha on October 3. Jha, in his FIR, alleged that Kumar asked him to come over to his residence where he threatened him waving pistol. Jha had complained to Muzaff arpur DM Dharmendra Singh in this regard on October 6.
Kumar, however, described Jha’s charges against him as baseless. He said that Jha was misusing his post. Meanwhile, a counter case has been lodged against Jha by one Ranjit Paswan. Kanti police station SHO Vijay Kumar said that both the cases were under investigation.
