Patna : Magadh University ( MU ) vocational cell will  streamline running of vocational courses taught at constituent colleges of the university . An advisory committee will  be set up at each college to further strengthen  vocational courses in the current academic session 2016-2017 . This decision was taken at a meeting of the vocational cell held  at the MU branch office here on Wednesday. The meeting  also decided to  abolish the agencies engaged in running  vocational courses at most of the colleges under Magadh University .

J D Women’s College principal Subhas Prasad Sinha  said that the university must  revise   the syllabi of vocational courses   to fulfill  students’ needs   particularly of BCA and BBM  courses . T P S College principal Tapan Kumar Sandaliya  suggested that the MU Board of Studies should supervise  the  syllabi revision of vocational courses as  per the  university regulations. College of Commerce principal Baban Singh  said that the university should maintain uniform  fee structure for each vocational course as approved by the Raj Bhawan .MU coordinator ,  college development council (CCDC ) Upendra Kumar Verma and  inspector of colleges Shailendra  Kumar  said  that MU constituent colleges   must hold  an entrance test for admission to vocational courses .

Gaya College principal  M S Islam  said that the MU VC  should decide whether there is any need of  a senior teacher   to supervise the process for vocational course examinations each year. A N College principal Bihari Singh said that colleges must publish   prospectus  specially for vocational courses  highlighting  their importance for students’ career.

According to  MU Cell coordinator B N  Ojha, the meeting also resolved that a delegation of vocational cell members would meet state HRD director and other officials in a day or two to start  admission process for  vocational courses  at each college of the university  without any delay.
