Patna : With  the publication of Intermediate exam results, colleges  under Magadh University have started the process to admit students to Degree Part 1 courses in various streams. Merit is the  sole criterion for admission Degree level courses. The admission process  would continue till June. The new academic session begins from  July every year in all MU colleges.

A N College, Patna,  will admit about 2,000 students to Degree Part 1 courses  in both Science and Arts streams. Sale of forms  is going on at the college counters ,  college principal Bihari Singh said adding the college has  already increased seats by about 20 % in these two streams.  

College of Commerce, Patna, will accept admission forms till  the end of June for admission to Degree level courses  in the college. Admission process for Degree level students  has already started.  Admission in each stream including Science, Arts and Commerce would be completed by the end of  June, said college principal  Baban Singh.

 B D College, Patna, too has started procedure for admitting students to Degree Part 1 courses in Science, Arts and Commerce . Altogether 1,800 seats in Degree Part 1 courses are available at this college, said college principal P K Verma.

Arvind  Mahila  College, Patna, has also started preparation for admitting students to Degree Part 1 in Arts, Science and Commerce streams. Home Science, Psychology, History, Philosophy and  English  are the major subjects popular among students at  this college, said a senior teacher of the  college.

J D Women’s College, Patna, has also started process for admission to Degree level courses. The college will admit  about 1,000  students at the degree level in Science and Arts streams. Students  seem to be  more inclined to  opt for Honours in  the subjects like Psychology, History, English, Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology, said college principal Subhas Prasad  Sinha.

B S College, Danapur, T P S College, RPS Mahila College, Patna City, Mahila College, Khagaul and J N Lal College, Khagaul are other colleges which too have started process to  admit students to  Degree  part 1  courses, sources said .
