Bettiah : The construction of 1.5 km long road bridge over a hilly river on Madanpur –Bhangaha road under Bagaha
sub-division in West Champaran district has been completed and it is likely to be inaugurated in the third week of June by CM Nitish Kumar. This road bridge will provide communication facilities to villagers mostly scheduled tribes and dalits living between Valmiki Tiger Reserve and hills of Himalaya in west-north parts of the state adjoining UP and Nepal.
Similarly, a two -lane road bridge over river Bagmati near Sonamnakhi in Khagaria is ready for inauguration and
it will provide communication facilities to half part of Khagaria and connectivity to Saharsa, according to Pul Nirman
Nigam sources. A senior officer of Pul Nirman Nigam said that the construction of 57 road bridges had been completed at an estimated cost of Rs 413 crore in 22 districts of state and these new bridges would be inaugurated in third week of June. Earlier, it was decided by the state government to open these bridges on June 11 but the date was deferred due to Panchayat elections
