Saharsa : Police arrested four criminals including dreaded Vikas Yadav from Duannia Bahiyar under Sonbersa Raj police station in Saharsa district on July 1, 2017, night. Police seized Rifles, a Carbine, a Pistol and two Desi Katta, several live rounds, two bikes, 14 mobile phones and Rs 12,000 cash from their possession. Vikas Yadav was involved in several incidents of murder and loot in Saharsa and Madhepura districts and was a most wanted criminal.
Saharsa SP Ashwini Kumar had constituted a special team headed by SDPO, Simribakhtiarpur, Ajay Narayan Yadav, to conduct raids to arrest criminals to check crime in the district in the wake of recent incidents of crime under Sonbersa Raj police station.
SDPO Yadav on July 2 said that he had received secret information that some criminals had gathered at Duannia Bahiyar after which the police team also comprising SHOs of Sonbersa Raj, Basnahi and Saur Bazaar police stations conducted raid there on July 1 night and arrested four criminals. The other three arrested criminals were identified as Raju Yadav of Saur Bazaar, Mrityunjay Kumar of Sonbersa Raj and Shakti Kumar of Murliganj, Madhepura. All the four criminals were involved in over dozen cases of murder and loot.
