Muzaffarpur : RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, who is on a six-day visit to Muzaffarpur district in North Bihar, on February 8, 2018, asked farmers to join the Sangh and become a part of its mission to build a society free from discrimination. Bhagwat highlighted the work done by swayamsevaks in villages across the country. He was addressing the farmers invited to a RSS volunteers’ camp here.
The RSS Sarsanghchalak said the problems facing the villages can be solved by only those who live in villages. The RSS has been in close touch with rural India, Bhagwat said. Thousands of RSS branches operate in villages. The swayamsevaks have made laudable contribution towards rural development, he said. Bhagwat stressed on adopting organic farming saying it has been a part of our tradition for thousands of years.
Bhagwat’s Bihar visit is scheduled to conclude on February 15. Opposition parties including the RJD and the Congress have alleged that Bhagwat’s visits have become frequent of late and it was a part of the agenda of the BJP to saffronize Bihar. But, senior BJP leader and Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi said Bhagwat was meeting farmers to help them make their lives better.
