President, PM pay tributes to former President Dr Zakir Hussain

New Delhi : The President of India Ram Nath Kovind on February 8, 2018, paid floral tributes to Dr Zakir Hussain, former President of India, on the occasion of his birth anniversary at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The President, family members of Dr Zakir Hussain, as well as officers and staff of the President’s Secretariat, paid floral tributes in front of a portrait of Dr Zakir Hussain at the Durbar Hall of Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid tributes to Dr. Zakir Hussain on his birth anniversary. “India remembers Dr Zakir Hussain on his birth anniversary. His contribution towards India’s freedom movement was tremendous. He also distinguished himself as a scholar and educationist,” the Prime Minister said, according to a PIB release.
