Muzaffarpur : Muzaffarpur Municipal Corporation (MMC) has initiated steps to start toilet waste disposal on the pattern of one Devnali in Karnataka. City Commissioner, Muzaffarpur, in  North Bihar, Ramesh Prasad Ranjan, said that CM Nitish Kumar and Perincipal Secretary, Urban development and Housing Department (UDHD), Chaitanya Prasad, has asked the  MMC to keep the city clean.

The City Commissioner said that a waste treatment plant would be established at Muzaffarpur at a cost of Rs 70 lakh on the pattern of Devnali, Karnataka. UDHD Nodal Officer, Ganga Conservation, Nikhil Ranjan on February 28, 2017, held a meeting with MMC officials at corporation office to inform them about the ways to keep the city clean. If the waste treatment plant succeeds in Muzaffarpur, such treatment plants would be set up in other cities of Bihar.
