Ara: The Bharat Bandh call given by left parties and RJD against demonetisation of high denomination currency evoked mixed response in Bhojpur district on Monday. The district administration had made elaborate security arrangements in the town especially at Ara railway station. Almost all the schools and colleges were closed and attendance in government offices was thin. The bandh supporters took out procession from different places in different parts of Bhojpur district and forced closure of business establishments. The bandh supporters also blocked Ara -Patna main road near Patel bus stand, Ara -Sasaram and Ara -Mohania main roads near Dhobighatawa by burning tyres and putting hurdles on the roads and raising slogans against the Central government. Later, they reached Ara railway station and stopped the 13202 Lokmanya Tilak express by boarding the rail engine and squatting on rail track.
