Ara : Some unidentified persons killed Rupan Yadav, son of Ram Ji Rai of Badka Chanda village under Koelwar police station in Bhojpur district, by on slitting his throat slit with a sharpedged weapon on Sakaddi – Pachaina road under Koelwar police station on January 8 evening and threw the body in a field nearby and escaped.
Later, police recovered the body from the field and brought it to Ara Sadar Hospital for post- mortem. Old enmity is said to be the cause behind the murder. An FIR has been lodged with Koelwar police station but no arrest has so far been made.
SHO, Koelwar police station, said that Rupan Yadav, son of Ram Ji Rai of Badka Chanda village, had gone to Chhotaka Chanda and Songhatta villages for the medicines of cattle in on January 7 morning but did not return till January 8 evening. The family members searched for him but could not locate him. Meanwhile, some children of the village saw a body in the field on Sakaddi-Pachaina main road and raised an alarm.
