Ara : Bhojpur police with the help of their Patna counterpart recovered a minor girl and also arrested a youth from Patna on August 19, 2018, late evening, and brought them over to Ara. Later, police produced the girl before an Ara court to get her statement recorded under section 164 of the CrPC and also brought her over to Sadar Hospital, Ara, for medical examination. The arrested youth was sent to jail.
SHO, Ara Town police station, Balwant Kumar said that a class VIII girl student was missing from Anand Nagar locality under the Station for the last 10 days and her father had lodged an FIR with police alleging his daughter had been kidnapped. Police swung into action and got information that the girl was living under Kotwali police station area in Patna. The SHO said that a police team was sent to Patna, which with the help of their Patna counterpart recovered the girl and arrested a youth.
