Sasaram : A minor girl was killed while four others including three minor children were injured after a former MLA and JD(U) leader Suryadeo Singh allegedly fired indiscriminately at village Tenguni under Bikramganj police station in Rohtas district on April 2, 2017,  evening. Land dispute is said to be cause behind the incident.

Police brought the body to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for post- mortem and admitted the injured there. The injured were identified as Divakar, 8, Prakash, 12, Sahil, 4, and Guddu, 34. The deceased was identified as Haazra Khatoon, 8. Police force was rushed to the spot.

Suryadeo Singh represented Bikramganj twice in Bihar Legislative Assembly. He has long drawn dispute with his relatives over a piece of land and the two side had quarrelled several times. On April 2 evening, Singh along with his associates starting indiscriminate firing from his roof in which Haazra Khatoon died while four others were injured. All the children were playing in the street.

Rohtas SP Manav Jeet Singh Dhillon said that he has sought direction from Patna IG Nayyar Hasnain and assured that the police would arrest the culprits irrespective of their stature.
