Minor boy dies in celebratory firing during marriage at Ara

Ara : A minor boy Suraj Kumar was killed in a celebratory gunfire during a marriage ceremony at Ibrahim Mohalla under Ara Town police station in Bhojpur district on April 17, 2019, late evening.

SHO, Ara Town police station, said that marriage ceremony of Ram Lakhan Mahto was going on at the residence of late Jawahar Mahto at Ibrahim Mohalla under the  police station on April 17 late evening and some children were dancing to the tune of  the Disc Jockey (DJ). Meanwhile, some persons started celebratory firing in which  Suraj Kumar, 12, son of Ashok Kumar of the same area received a bullet and died on the spot. Police recovered the body and brought it over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Police are investigating into the incident and conducting raids to arrest the miscreants.
