Patna : World No 84 in ATP rankings Matteo Berrettini, 22, Italy, stunned World No 17 and 2nd seed Roberto Bautista Agut, 30, Spain, in straight sets in the final to win the Swiss Open tennis championship at Gstasd, Switzerland, on July 29, 2018, his first ATP title. World No 14 and top seed Fabio Fognini, 31,Italy, had lost the Round of 16.

Berrettini, playing in his first ATP final, beat Agut 7-6, 6-4 in the final in a tough contest. Berrettini hammered 17 Aces in the match to just 1 by Agut, who committed 4 double faults. Berrettini won three games in a row to just one by his rival.
