Saharsa : A married woman was raped by two youth at village Koparia under Salkhua police station in Saharsa district on September 7, 2017, night. Police have arrested both the accused : Alok Kumar of  Goth, Salhua Bazaar, and Satyam Kumar of village Rampur under Saur Bazaar police station. The woman was sent to Sadar Hospital, Saharsa, for medical examination.

The survivor informed police that one of the accused approached her at Khagaria railway station and offered to drop at Begusarai in his vehicle. But, instead of  moving towards Begusarai, the man reached Koparia in Saharsa district where his friend boarded the vehicle. They took her to a house at Koparia and  outraged her modesty there. She, somehow, managed to free herself and came on the road and informed policemen on duty about her ordeal. Police conducted raids at different places and arrested the two accused. SHO, Salkhua police station, Tarun Kumar Tarunesh, said that the parents of the woman were called to Saharsa and the statement of the woman was recorded. Police are probing into the incident, the SHO said.

The survivor was going to her in-laws’place at village Suja in Begusarai district from her parent’s place at village Vinodpur under Muffasil police station, Begusarai, on September 7. But, she felt giddiness on the way and took an auto and reached Khagaria railway station to take a train for Begusarai where one of the accused offered her lift in his vehicle. Her husband works outside Bihar.
